Our Editorial Standards
At Balanced Wellness Route, we are committed to delivering accurate, evidence-informed content about fitness and yoga combined training. Our editorial principles ensure every article meets rigorous standards of quality, integrity, and transparency.
We believe informed readers deserve trustworthy information. This page explains how we maintain that trust.
Our Five Editorial Principles
Accuracy Above All
Every claim in our articles is verified against current fitness research, yoga traditions, and established wellness practices. We cite peer-reviewed studies, reputable health organizations, and qualified professionals. Our writers cross-check facts before publication and update articles when new evidence emerges.
Complete Transparency
We disclose author credentials, funding sources, and any potential conflicts of interest. Our readers deserve to know who wrote an article and why. We clearly separate expert interviews from staff commentary and label sponsored or partnership content appropriately.
Expert Credentials
Our writers hold relevant qualifications in fitness science, yoga instruction, sports medicine, nutrition, or wellness coaching. Each byline includes author credentials so readers understand the expertise behind the content. We work with certified instructors and science communicators.
Balance & Context
We present multiple perspectives on wellness topics and acknowledge that fitness approaches vary by individual. Context matters β we explain when advice applies to certain populations and when readers should seek personalised guidance. We avoid one-size-fits-all claims.
Corrections & Accountability
When we make an error, we correct it promptly and transparently. Corrections appear at the end of articles with a timestamp. We take reader feedback seriously and review suggestions for accuracy or clarity. Our goal is continuous improvement.
Editorial Independence
Our editorial decisions are driven by reader interest and journalistic merit, not commercial pressure. We do not allow advertisers or partners to influence content. Product mentions are made only when genuinely relevant to the topic and disclosed clearly.
Our Fact-Checking Process
Every article follows a rigorous review process before publication. Here is how we ensure quality and accuracy.
Research & Source Identification
Writers gather information from peer-reviewed journals, government health agencies (NHS, Sport England), professional fitness organisations, and established wellness resources. Primary sources are prioritised over secondary reporting.
Internal Editorial Review
Each draft is reviewed by a member of our editorial team who checks for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to our standards. Reviewers verify all citations and spot-check claims against source material.
Expert Consultation
For technical or sensitive topics, we consult qualified experts β certified fitness trainers, registered yoga instructors, or sports scientists. Expert input ensures accuracy and appropriate context. Consultations are documented.
Final Approval & Publication
An editor approves the article for publication after all reviews are complete. The byline includes author credentials and publication date. Articles are then posted with full source citations visible to readers.

Our Corrections & Updates Policy
Types of Corrections
Factual Errors
Incorrect facts, misquoted sources, or misrepresented research. These are corrected immediately and noted in a correction notice at the end of the article.
Clarity Updates
Passages that are confusing or misleading without being strictly false. We revise wording and explain the change in an editor's note.
Scientific Updates
New research that contradicts or adds nuance to claims made in older articles. We add a dated note explaining the new information and update the article accordingly.
How to Report an Error
We welcome reader feedback about accuracy, clarity, or sources. If you spot an error or have a question about article content, please contact our editorial team.
Email: [emailΒ protected]
Please include the article title, publication date, and a clear description of the concern. We aim to respond within five business days.
Correction Notices
All corrections appear at the end of the affected article in a clearly marked section. Notices include the original error, the correction, and the date the correction was made. We do not silently update articles without noting the change.
Example correction notice:
"Correction [15 March 2025]: This article previously stated that flexibility training increases muscle size. That claim was incorrect. Flexibility training improves range of motion; muscle growth requires resistance training with adequate protein. We regret the error."
Ongoing Updates
Popular articles about fitness and wellness are reviewed at least annually to check if new research has emerged. If an article is substantially updated with new information, we add an "Updated [Date]" note at the top. The original publication date always remains visible so readers understand when the article was first written.
Trust Our Content
Our editorial standards exist to serve you. We believe transparent, accurate information helps you make confident choices about fitness and wellness. Every article reflects our commitment to quality and integrity.
